Residential vs datacenter vs mobile

There are really three kinds of proxy you'll be choosing between, and they're not interchangeable.

Sticky sessions hold the same IP for a few minutes. You want this the moment state matters: logging in, adding to a cart, walking through a multi-step flow. Rotate your IP mid-login and the site sees your "session" teleport across the country between clicks, which is exactly the kind of thing that trips a block.

Rule of thumb: independent pages, rotate. Anything with a login or a cart, go sticky.

What actually matters when you pick a provider

• Pool size and freshness. A big pool means less chance you land on an IP some other customer already burned an hour ago. Millions of IPs is table stakes now.
• Geo targeting. If you need to look like you're in Germany, you need real German residential IPs, down to the city sometimes. Check the countries actually covered, not the marketing map.
